Well priced place, had a perfectly pleasant stay for two nights. The unit we got was huge with very comfortable bed, the bedroom, as for instance. Enjoyed our savoury and delicious breakfast and the dining room. The location of the property was incredible, in beautiful surroundings.

I had a lovely visit at the Buck, where the charming scenery made for a peaceful retreat. The staff were friendly and welcoming. I found the atmosphere relaxing, and enjoyed a delicious meal with well-prepared dishes. Afterward, I appreciated the chance to explore various walking trails without needing to drive anywhere.
All good 😊!

Friendly, smiling staff Good pub food (Chicken wrapped in bacon was a treat), great breakfast - huge meals, all well cooked and good service. Remember to book a table for a Saturday night as the restaurant is very popular! Room had character - lovely old furniture (well in keeping with the setting). Charming location and accomodation

Good location, so you can visit the Cove in the morning without crowds, good pub food, good breakfast, friendly hosts
Beds were a little bit worn out, carpet has had the best time (Room 2), breakfast dishes a little bit unclean

Friendly staff, reasonably priced, amongst beautiful countryside and walks
My lamb shank although tasty came with no veg and rather small for £15.00

Room 4 features a fine four-poster bed, a well-stocked tea tray, and picturesque views. The restaurant serves delicious meals, even accommodating last-minute requests on busy nights.
The bathroom facilities need some attention, as they felt dated and not entirely clean. Some amenities could enhance the stay, such as heating in the room which left things a bit chilly. And lack of visible game options for bad weather could make downtime less enjoyable. The bar area feels cramped, with mismatched furniture and a lack of comfortable seating which may not suit everyone's taste.

Great village and the Buck has a central position in it. 3ooms are clean and adequate and the breakfasts very good. Overall good value for money. Excellent real ales.
The rooms do need a makeover and basics like bedside tables would improve them at minimal cost. The bar food was bland an overpriced. London prices
